The Seyfo or Sayfo (ܣܝܦܐ, literally meaning "sword"; see below) was the mass slaughter, deportation, and genocide of the Assyrian, Syriac, and Chaldean Christians in the Ottoman Empire and those in neighbouring Persia by Ottoman troops during the First World War.
